Coming to the location, just don 't follow the map provided by Zomato otherwise you will end up in Lal Bazar .. This roadside food stall is located just behind the Currency building on R.N Mukherjee road (close Tram Company Building).<br/ <br/ Now coming to the place, basically this place has nothing to offer except for the food. There 's no seating (you will be literally standing on the road to have your food), ambience (don 't even think of it), even they don 't have the name of the stall properly written.<br/ <br/ Now one might wonder then 'what 's so special? '<br/ <br/ Speciality is the FOOD that tastes heavenly and the prices. Basically this outlet is a paradise for all the working class people associated to the Dalhousie area of Kolkata. Anytime the crowd infront of the outlet will give you a clear idea why you shouldn 't miss it. Food is amazingly awesome in taste (I seriously was not expecting anything) and the prices are the cheaper than what you can imagine.<br/ A plate of Masala Kulcha with Paneer Makhani will cost you Rs 38 (only possible in Kolkata).<br/ I would suggest once you have any work or something around this area try this outlet and trust me you won 't regret it even 1%..
Never seen a roadside foodstall buzzing with people all day long like this place. I have been their regular customer for 7 years now. They serve only veg north indian dishes.. they have another branch opp. Vardaan market, parkstreet. The food is outstandingly superb and tasty. The raita and chana masala with pyaaz kulcha is to die for. They also make good lassi. The price is reasonably cheap for the quality of food they make.
The most chepest and the most testy food i even had.... Butter nan was awesome and panner butter masala and kofta was super amazing...one of the best Local street food center in Kolkata...
It was an amazing experience to been here. If you ever be in Kolkata and miss the North Indian food. I will suggest to eat here. Simply Delicious food. And must order a lassi and raita too. The taste of raita can fail a 5 star restaurant.<br/ <br/ Ratings:<br/ Food : 5/5<br/ Quantity : 5/5<br/ Price : 5/5<br/ <br/ Overall awesome experience.<br/ You must eat there.
I happened to pass by this on road eatery and I was amazed by sheer volume of patrons eating with one hand holding the plate. I could not miss the shining of butter over hot tandoori rotis and kulcha's. As I dont experiment with non standard road side food items I passed by but thoughts kept on coming that what is that x factor which was holding so much customers and hence I striked back within 2 hours to try out the food.As soon as I reach and asked whats available in hand came the plate with hot missi roti with shining butter and small dish with paneer masala. Lots of chunks whole heatedly filled in the dish and with the first morsel of the gravy I could only think of high quality restaurant. The paneer chunks were soft to the core and not to mention the missi roti which surpassed all my expectations.I could not hold my self to ask for kucha which landed in my plate hot and drizzling in may be 1 sec. Again it was class apart and parallely i was wondering how much will he charge as I have not asked for any price. Filling of Kulcha was also good it was real soft. After this I had a glass of lassi with malai khurchan topping. With all this high class astonishing taste I paid just Rs. 70 . I just could not believe it and then realised why people come in hoardes and whats the parameter which draws people at this corner. If you skip your inhibition of road side hygiene related issues like what I did, I am sure you will enjoy a high class meal at dirt cheap prices. Overall should try when ever you are in the vicinity.
