There are some place that just grow on you as you visit them Swagath is one such place in Fort. This Spartan Udipi eatery won’t blow you off your feet with a celebrated signature dish or with stellar presentation – Swagath will win your heart by serving tasty and consistent food every time you award it your patronage.<br/ <br/ Their rassam wada is one of the best I’ve had in this part of town, you’ll have to travel to Matunga East to go one up on their yummy peppery rassam and soft wadas. Their filter coffee (served in a Lilliputian paper cup) goes pretty well with anything you’d order here –maybe just a sliver below the hallowed standards of the Matunga East filter coffees.<br/ <br/ They have a very flavourful sambar and a soothing white chutney which make agreeable sidekicks to any of their dishes like idlis, medu sabudana wadas (light crispy), pudi dosas (another personal favourite). A lot of folks opt for their toast butter, toast butter jam combos too.<br/ <br/ At lunch they serve a very mean bissi bele bhath, I quite like their missal pav too. I’ve never dropped in for their evening snacks like assorted bhajias and dal wada – but surely in due course.<br/ <br/ This is one of the most underrated Udipi joints in town.
Good food at good rates, one of the best pocket friendly places at Fort. Neat and clean, quick service and great experience. Tasty and simple food.
If you want to see happy Maharashtrians , this is the place. Although we indulged in their south indian fare, the thali was scrumptious. Just the place for a humble meal. Fuss free.
