It was great to see the hospitality of Jhupa Singh and team at grand Hyatt Mumbai. Very fresh and welcoming. The Malaysian food was yum with a lot of varieties, properly cooked with a great aroma. Vishal is famous for his salads if you are conscious on the calories round the corner. Since I constantly travel to a lot of hotels, one thing I noticed about grand Hyatt is that there food prepared is really fresh which honestly, is not at all at a lot of places these days...and of course, satisfying the taste buds to the core. I recommend their sushi too. Thanks

Went there for breakfast during my stay Mumbai. First encounter to find all food prepared live in front of you. Awesome service. Variety of tea and coffee available. Endless options of food and dessert to fill your tummy. Consider it as a brunch.

Excellent place ambiance was superb loved it with friends never had such an awesome soup the staff was really cooperate and polite with us I loved the separation of veg and non veg was perfect even the dishes were kept separate to avoid any jass the food quality was undoubtedly awesomeWe enjoyed it alot

I am a ex hotelier and now a part of the luxury retail industry , so i have seen the best of both the side of the spectrum in terms of food and service.<br/ <br/ I had been planning a visit to 55 east restaurant , for quite some time now as i had heard some great reviews about it .<br/ <br/ Finally i managed to book a table for dinner last week at this renowned restaurant , and trust me when i say this that my experience was nothing less than amazing <br/ <br/ Allow me to elaborate my experience , with the help of the following pointers <br/ <br/ 1. Staff : Accordingly to me what makes a good eatery a great eatery is the staff , their manners and their willingness to assist and recommend . Right from the minute we entered the restaurant The staff at the reception desk) till the time we exited the place , the staff as absolutely amazing , helpful and always with a pleasing smile on their respective faces. I would like to make a special mention and a HUGE shout out to the assistant manager of this restaurant Ms. Benaz who took out time and showed us around the exhaustive buffet and explained us about the food being served, she also had answers for all the questions that we had . Her food and beverage knowledge was great and her mannerism along with her hospitality, instantly made us feel at home.<br/ <br/ 2. Ambiance : There was heavy downpour in the city , that evening . Benaz offered us a table next the huge glass window which overlooked the this open air black marbled area with the rain coming down with all the force , with this grand view of the downpour , soft ambiance music , soothing lights and very few patrons, we were having a very surreal and amazing time of our life <br/ <br/ 3. Food: Best part about the food was that we relished the Maki rolls and the sashimi along with thai curry and jasmine rice. Unfortunately for us we reached quite late , so we had limited time to eat . The Sushi , god they are to die for , i loved everything about them . The texture of the Maki roll/ sheet , the stickyness of the rice and the fresh salmon and scallops , the tempura and the picked vegetables inside the roll were spellbinding . The perfect use of Galangal along with coconut milk and that delicate balance in the thai curry made go weak on my knees <br/ <br/ I am planning another visit for dinner , this week as i could not taste nor do justice to so many other cuisines and dishes <br/ <br/ But my main two reasons to return would be <br/ <br/ The array of delectable sushi and the amazing chefs that make it <br/ <br/ Ms. Benaz and her entire service staff and also the chefs<br/ <br/ Grand Hyatt Management , if you happen to read this i would like to inform you that Ms. Benaz and her crew of hostess and service staff are a real asset to your organization . Eating at 55 East at Grand Hyatt is a different and enjoyable experience.<br/ You need to take a flight of steps down to reach the restaurant or take the elevator down from the lobby bar.<br/ <br/ Restaurant invariably has most of the international cuisines available. However, Italian and Chinese cuisines have probably been purposely left out so as to promote eating at the Italian and Chinese Restaurants of the hotel.<br/ <br/ The seating at 55 East is relaxed and is good for a leisurely lunch as well as a formal business lunch, especially with foreigners. There are live open food counters with chefs showing their culinary skills on one side of the restaurant, and a dessert counter on the other side. Due to this set up, the no. of seats in the restaurant is rather limited I would say. Again as a vegetarian, have found a lot of interesting international items there and have loved to try them. Have particularly enjoyed veg Sushi and Hummus with warm pita bread at the first counter. Good to be able to get vegetarian sushi. The Thai food especially the Thai curry, is excellent as well. There are some interesting Continental dishes and grills on the far end. There is a bit of Indian food as well. The interesting names of the dishes are displayed at the counters and the good part is that the food is freshly made in front of you as you wait. The dessert bar is by far my favorite and has a large variety, including some Indian sweets. Quite liked an interesting dessert, the topping of which was burnt with a flame in front of me…. can’t remember the name though. The single serve portion dishes are delivered to your table if you like rather than stand and wait for the same.<br/ The portions on these dishes I am sure have kept small.<br/ The price is a bit steep, but worth the experience.
