The Spa Koh Chang Resort offers many vegan and vegetarian options. Since we stayed there, I tried many different dishes, especially I liked the healthy fruit shake, green and red curry with tofu. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food can be either inside or on the balcony with a beautiful view of the mangrove. Meals are somewhat more expensive than elsewhere on the island, but the location is very nice for nature lovers and the east coast of the island has not many other restaurants. But the quiet and isolated environment is a beautiful experience for nature lovers.
We found this place randomly, there are signs on the street advertising a plant-based cafeteria and these led us to the spa resort. The restaurant was a little hard to find, you have to enter the resort and the park next to the reception, and it goes on a beautiful terrace. The view is beautiful. We went to breakfast and they also served hotel guests. The menu has clearly marked vegan, vegetarian and raw options. We ordered a sandwich and dice tofu and it was nothing special, not very tasty and quite expensive. I'm not sure if all employees know what vegan means. Updated by previous rating on 2023-01-02
The location is very beautiful, in a very nice resort surrounded by lush vegetation. We had thai vegan dishes and they were good although not exceptional and the prices are definitely on the high end. You can get the same for half price in other places (maybe because it's low season the master cooks are not here so the food wasn't super impressive to compensate the price? But we don't know yet of any decent place to eat in the east coast so this is an option for once in a while.
Stunning location! Food was pleasant enough but lacked a bit of punch in flavour in comparison to some other places we ate in Koh Chang. (Probably just because it was all healthier! We loved the raw pad Thai though, that was utterly delicious and very refreshing
