Daitokai - Köln

Sushi is ine of my favourite meals and going to the Daitokai I treat as one of life's treats. The show us very good as is the service and the food. It should have a higher restaurant rating. I recommend this restaurant.

If you want Sushi, pick another restaurant! Might be a great teppan restauarant, but not much of a section for sushi! Go to Sweet sushi or Zan! Enjoy!

Loved it, loved the atmosphere and the food. The staff is so friendly we had Fijii to cook for us and he was really nice. I've had the beef Charolais and it was cooked to perfection and so tasty and the person I was with had the duck à l'orange and it looked amazing too. I wish we could have been again during our stay but it was fully booked.

Nice chain of Teppanyaki restaurants . Good service, good sushi, nice set of Teppanyaki . Japanese beer and wide selection of sake. Seafood Teppanyaki with Sushi and some rolls can be a better choice.

Very authentic place!The restaurant has several big tables on which food is cooked right in front of you by the chief. There are 3 separate dining zones.It is recommended to make a reservation in advance however on a working evening we were lucky to pass without.You sit together yet still food is cooked separately for each batch of visitors. All ingredients are shown to you before the cooking process starts. Meat, fish, chicken, desserts - up to your choice. You can order a menu set (they also serve vegetarian menu) or opt for a specific dish.We tried Chicken with Teriyaki-sauce and Duck “Label Rouge“ with orange-Teriyaki-sauce (medium rare). All was served with mushrooms, vegetables and rice. Very tasty!We can also recommend Lamb in ginger-sauce with rosemary.I agree with other visitors that food is quite simple yet good. Very entertaining how it is all cooked) Especially give a try for Teppan-Ice: flamed ice cream :-)Special thanks to the host and the chief - great job guys!
