Daikan - Köln

My husband and I were recommended to dine there. And we were happy we followed the advice. It's been amazing food and service. Excellent quality !! Waiters are really good and friendly. And the manager, Rämi, is a wonderful person !! It's been a pleasure and unforgettable evening of our extremely short trip to Köln. Enjoy !

Super nice service, excellent broth in ramen, tuna tataki done to the point, minimalistic and warm surrounding. overall: great place for a not pretentious dinner

It's a nice place, but a little bit loud. Something about the acoustics in the place mean that you really need to speak up to have a normal conversation. Ribs are really excellent, but the fish is clearly frozen and I would avoid it the next time.

I recently had dinner here with a couple friends who now live in Cologne. I was really impressed with the overall quality of the experience and especially the food.The restaurant is decent-sized, but my friends told me it is often hard to get space as the restaurant is popular and usually very crowded. The decor reminds one of a noodle shop in Tokyo, though the Koelsch beer instead of Sapporo is a reminder that one is in Germany not Japan. Our server was polite and helpful with suggestions. I thought it was pretty dark inside which was OK, except the menu has a strange, very small font which was hard to read given the lack of lighting.The food was all-around delicious. I had the Japanese chicken wings as a starter, and the sauce was incredible. Not too hot but with a kick, and a sweet finish. I tried the soft shell crab sushi roll for my main, and it too was delicious. Both my friends opted for ramen bowls, and they were equally impressed. The portions were reasonable but not huge, and in line with what you paid for them.Definitely worth a visit.

We were lucky today , cause we got a table . I tried last Friday to get a table for 6 for my girls party , but I had no chance . The lady on the phone was nice, but a bit inconsistent. Anyhow today I called up , and got a table . The good was super quick and the girls , waitresses were really nice . The food was quick , we had the miso ramen ! Delicious . A has sashimi and the octopus rolls, crispy rolles as well . Amazing food . One think you have to think about it, NO TELEFONES ! . I think this is an amazing thing ! Really really good , the way the manager told me , that there were no Telefone allowed , was super friendly and absolutely ok. It was no problem for me to accept . Good new restaurant up in Town . Well done ! Thanks for having us .
