General Gaffel am Dom is for me occasionally the conclusion of a small Cologne tour. The huge restaurant is located directly at the main station and is therefore particularly suitable for a short return journey before returning to Bergisch Gladbach with the S11. Since I don't like drinking so early, I never go to her brewhouse near the cathedral. Ambiente Gaffel am Dom is a huge brewhouse. Many tourists are almost inevitable. It is fast relatively loud with increasing number of guests and it is often a lot of operation. But you almost always find free places. Tables at the station are also available in good weather. Today it was not excessively full inside and so we could talk well (without screaming). The colleague was very satisfied – and that was also important. pork steak from the grill with colorful vegetables, sauce Hollandaise and roast potatoes – 7,80 € The meat could have been a little more juicy; but it was still tasty. And in total maybe a little bigger; but this is already on the cheap lunch card and so it's okay. A pot with sauce Hollandaise was served by God in an additional pot. However, the brown sauce was poured generously over half the meat. She was a little salty, but otherwise normal. The vegetables were not boiled completely soft and the roast potatoes were also good – but had contact with the sauce. But at the Business Court everything comes on a plate. It was an interesting experience and not as bad as I feared. Three things were happy. It tasted the acquaintance, we had a cozy time to cheer and taste the fresh Gaffel Kölsch. It doesn't take much more to spend a pleasant afternoon. Drinks Gaffel Kölsch 0.2 l – 2,10 € A bit expensive in downtown, but for me the best Kölsch. Well cooled and freshly tapped just a pleasure. Price/quality ratio Lunch offers are quite cheap; the other dishes keep in the middle frame. The beer has a lush price. Conclusion 3 – if it results. A quick crumb comes before the train; but also today for a shopping stop.
