After reading the reviews here we thought we would try this restaurant as we had to do some grocery shops nearby. First the positive things: very nicely decorated restaurant, very fast kitchen (people usually spend 20-30 min there incl. food), nice staff, brought us a baby chair after he had asked. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. We had the Tom kha pak soup, which is usually a very tasteful coconut-based soup with fresh coriander, gallangal and lemongrass and full of vegetables and tofu. The soup came super fast and was hot, but there was no lemongrass or galangal to find a few coriander leaves found their way into the soup a put together 5 pieces of tofu, 2 pieces of tomatoes and mushrooms and a sad piece of broccoli. It tasted basically like coconut milk, but strangely sweet. We expected more of a soup for 4.50€. Then we had one of the Vietnamese bowls (93a) with tofu without the fish sauce. The description in the menu sounded promising, but again we were disappointed. For 10€ you have a large bowl of rice noodles with a bundle of deep fried tofu that has not been embellished with lemongrass an onion as described. There were almost no vegetables. I had more sauce than my husband, so I had to overthrow him a few so that his dish would not be so dry. Usually you get some pickled carrots and radishes, some cut cucumbers, a whole range of fresh herbs and some peanuts and fried onions and some salad. Here were 2 slices of cucumber, 1 piece of carrot and a plush of salad, a few fried onions and peanuts. Again we expected more. We had our 10-month baby with us, so we asked for some stir fried vegetables without salt as he eats finger food, but they refused to prepare everything for him. Then we asked for at least some cucumbers or some vegetables at all. They offered us twice cooked rice, but only ended us with 2 slices of cucumber. Luckily I had Sone snacks in my backpack, but it was still a very sad dinner for our baby. When we finished eating, the waitress started emptying our bowls and plates in a larger bowl right in front of us on our table, throwing some napkins, etc. It's just disgusting. You don't do this in advance if your guests. In other restaurants even in the city centre you get a better quality for less money. We wouldn't recommend this place.
When ordering Pad Thai 'without the egg', they noticed it down as 'vegan' on their own automatically! Unlike many other Asian fast food places like it, this has convinced me that they know and care. The food is exactly what you expect in terms of quality for the price.
Food was good, we had pho with tofu and tofu red curry. Delicious and affordable.
Many vegan options, very tasty food and nice people working there!
