Hidden gem centrally in Copenhagen. Super cosy, Italian restaurant with good atmosphere. We had a table outside in the backyard. Our waiter was nice and attentive and we had a great experience with the food we had. The pizza was big but great

We chose to have dinner at “La vecchia signora” for our anniversary. Being the first time at this place I wrote a comment specifying that we were there celebrating a special occasion so we really cared about having a very good night, also because it’s rare for us being off in same days. We both work in hospitality, we know the business, usually if we don’t like a restaurant we simply don’t go back but this time I decided to spend a couple of minutes to describe our experience. The table was nice, the atmosphere okay, the menu looked nice except for the fact that they have just one option if you want to have a glass of wine, house wine (was good). We shared a selection of antipasti to start with, nice portion and good enough, they came with bread... the worst bread ever, probably it was from the day before or from the morning... horrible. It’s now time for our pasta, my boyfriend ordered pasta pasticciata and spaghetti vongole for me (my favorite dish), well, I had sandy spaghetti with vongole...after I would say 5 minutes I managed to see the waitress and send the pasta back, I said that it can happen, one of the clams was full of sand I would then skipped the pasta and had dessert instead with my boyfriend since he had almost done with his pasta. The waitress insist to make me the pasta again saying it would have been ready in few minutes, ten minutes later a new pasta came without sand but full of oil and salt, I tried my best I had 3 vongole out of 8 and I left the pasta. By the time I had my meal of course my boyfriend already finished his pasta and my glass of wine was empty (we sat at 19.50, it was 21.20 when I got the pasta) It was late and we asked for the bill they offered us an “avec” and quick apologies for the pasta. So now, tell me, did you really preferred to make me pay for a pasta that you had to make twice and that I left for the second time after you ruined our dinner?! Seriously 150kr make the difference in the end of the night for you instead of having happy guests coming back ?! I want to specify that everybody can have a bad day the most important is the way you fix your mistakes. It’s easy, a little wine top up in order to let me have the pasta with some wine or a dessert with the bill as an apology if you wanted to put the pasta on the bill, these are just 2 examples out of a million probably. I’m glad to work in a restaurant where people cared more about their guests than not about their pocket, at least when they screw up!! You can definitely have better food and a better service at least in half of the restaurants of Copenhagen.

Nice welcome with an Italian note. Perfect meal with perfect pizza. And if you are still hungry the "gelati" are also very good! Nice experience!

A nice place with a nice atmosphere. Very good food at absolutely reasonable prices. Good service. We were three people who all ordered pasta, and all were satisfied with the food and service.
