Be Steak - Koebenhavn

First of all the location is great, perched at the top of Illums top floor, Be Steak has a great atmosphere to it, with an open kitchen where you can see all the meats beeing prepared in front of you. The staff is very friendly...and is strongly service minded, a particular note of merit to chef Mattia Reale which is always brining his A-game A favourite of mine are the burgers with bernaise sauce, but dont be fooled the antipasti which are not necessarily meat based are also very good

Perfect steak My ribeye cooked to the perfection. The season is just right and the temperature of the steak is also perfect. I also order grilled vegies as a side dish. It tastes delicious but the bell pepper is a little bit over done,...so it turns out soggy but the rests are soooo lovely. Please note that this steakhouse is on the top floor of the department store but it doesn't have any roof top outdoor area.

My wife, old daughter and I picked the Be Steak restaurant for dinner, based on its on-line advertising of being on the roof-top floor' and thus fully expected an outside view over Copenhagen.. We were mislead. The restaurant facilities are on the top floor...of the Ilulm Department Store with some outside seating for various other restaurants but not the Be Steak brand. Upon arrival, we got attitude', they didn't have our reservation ... I was told I have only one reservation and those people are sitting at the bar ... then, she did find it and we were seated in a rather dark inside corner. When asking to be relocated, I was told all tables were reserved. When I pointed out that we had just been told she had only one reservation ... shock' but a quick recovery all those new reservations had just been made'. Nevertheless, we stayed. The steaks were great, the rest ... including desserts was quite average and not worth the high prices. Based on our experience of this dismal customer service attitude and very, very average high priced food we would never go back.

I have tried all steakhouses in Copenhagen, Retour Steak, A Hereford Beefstouw, MASH, Pastis, but Be Steak is the best. They serve high quality of meat and you can taste the different. I dine there at least once a week and every time, the steaks...are perfectly grilled. Love their fries, homemade bearnaisesauce and the cozy atmosphere. The service is wonderful and have a great selection of wines. If you are in for a good steak, then try Be Steak in Copenhagen.
