Berg Blick - Kochel

We waited 2h for our food. We were three people and sat down at 6:30 pm. While other tables, that arrived later than us got their food. 2h of my life i‘ll never get back.

The staff was extremely friendly and the ambiance was warm and nice. The burgers were heavenly.

Great location and experience. The food and drinks at the restaurant are delicious. The staff is friendly. The hostel is decent considering the price. Good place to socialize and make new friends. Kochelsee is 5 min walk away, perfect for a refreshing dip in the lake. Heimatbühne bus stop is just outside, which will take you to Bahnhof and Walchensee. Early morning coffee and breakfast are not available as the restaurant opens at 11:30. Breakfast is available at Sonnenspitz 7:30 onwards which is 5 min walk away. Not a lot of space to dry wet clothes. These things could be improved for a better experience.

Edit: In the end after a lot of back and forth they did refund one night. I’ve been travelling quite often but this place was the worst experience I had so far. Once we arrived we were greeted with a closed door towards our room, there was no reception no help and some other guest closed the door from the inside. Luckily after a while they woke up and let us in, only for us to discover our room is not closed and somebody else is already sleeping there. Further more there wereno bedsheets. We communicated the issue towards the host, and we stayed one more night against our better judgment, the second night when we got back to sleep the room was once again wide open with all our stuff there which could have been easily stollen. After this first they offered to refund and then they were saying they could only refund one night. After that they were saying can’t communicate with booking to do the refund, I asked them to try to solve it through other means but they ignored my message. Their failed at all aspects of hospitality I wonder how are they even in business. Edit. Answer: Through this prompt you can book the rooms above and have links to the place above. The best burger and salad we have ever had! A must if you are visiting!
