Great place for traditional shabu shabu or sukiyaki (Japanese hot pot). extremely warm service. not cheap, but 5000yen p.P is appropriate for the quality of food. no English spokesman, but basic English menu available.
Where do I start? we tried to find the place, from another evaluation we were told that the Google address is wrong, so they have to go to their website for the right address what we have done. Once they're here, they're looking for the Sinmichi building. it's on the 7th floor. we came and sat in a very cozy but modern Japanese style room with a few waitresses. it was a Thursday evening at halloween day at 19:30 clock and we could only hear 2 more tables. we had no reservations. the waiters did not know too much English, but only enough to help and they had an English menu to help. there were 4 or 5 different sets they could order. we have the sukiyaki set for 5000 yen each (8% tax 10% top is additonal). I'm usually a big eater, and my wife is a little eater, but that was enough to get me full of 90% as eating is at a certain pace. there was a good selection of vegetables and about 8 large slices of premium cobe bark on a separate dish. they cook it two different types, one by grilling the bark in themselves, and then in the Sukiyaki broth. oh, and by the way, they get their own personal waitress that cook everything for them to serve it in their bowl, so that no need to touch anything except put it in their mouth. the quality of the bark was amazing, so tender, supplemented by the broth and sugar that they care about above. a good balance of sweet and salty to bring the taste of the bark. nice were fresh on the market. this was by far the best food we had in the area of kansai, and it cost only about 13000 yen, after everything was said and done.
Eating is amazing! great service. they have only 4 5 different sets on their menu shabu shabu, sukiyaki etc. the egg used for sukiyaki is very fresh. Note that the address on google is incorrect. instead refer to their website.
There are english speaking staff available, not sure if its because we are foreigners they sent us a japanese staff which we couldnt communicate and she quickly cooked all the sukiyaki food including beef and vegetables in 30mins. Feels like they just wanna quickly get done with our meal. They asked us to add an udon for some carbs, we ordered one, the same staff just pour the udon into the sukiyaki bowl (fire was turned off already at the point) leaving it untouched for 5 mins, ive to go ask the staff to follow up what’s going on. Until then, they realize the fire was not on, so they light it up again. But after they light it up, they just left the room again and left the udon untouched and the pot is almost fully dried up already. Ive to ask the staff to turn off the fire twice now before they food is all dried up and burnt. The service doesnt add up to the value, im writing the review while eating because im really not satisfied with the service.
