Downtown Diner - Knoxville

We found your city thru a detour from the Interstate because of an accident.... we went to the train museum n were immediately invited to see the site even tho it has not yet opened for a few hours! They then gave a few suggestions for food places in the city and your facility received a high rating!!! After a day on the truck show, we stopped in to check it out! O mine! It was an amazing place with great service and food was delicious! We even have Dessert! When we drove to our vehicle, we heard the train .. are you joke!!! Wow what a leak! We have to run a train right past where we were parked in the middle of the city!!! These are great memories!

Amazing meal, incredible service, great and entertaining atmosphere. Did I mention that the food was from this world? You had a very unique menu, I have Fruit of the Loin. It was delicate pork fillet on potatoes with panties and beans with almond slivers. The lung was covered with baked apples, Cuban crumbs and the most incredible Amaretto sauce. For the desert, not that it was necessary, there was a cherry bread pudding in an amaretto sauce as well. Not, now I have to go to the gym. Wow, I can just say that was great. Much better than anything I've ever ordered in a national chain restaurant. I'm serious. My loving wife ordered the baked beef, once again, amazing. Look at the menu, this place is unique. We recommend it very much.

This restaurant is a must when in La Grange. The menu is quirky, especially the children's menu. You have to taste the fried banana unsplit (deformed) and the bacon cake. Yum! Monica took care of us.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while waiting to make a video of the train on main. As an ex fine dining restaurant owner in NYC I have very high standards when dining out. But this place hit the mark on everything. First off restaurant was at 80% capacity at least and we still received very attentive and personal service from our waiter Carter. Food was served promptly hot and fresh. My steak was cooked rare to perfection, the beans and bacon mashed were perfect. Both deserts the deep fried banana and the creme brûlée was creative and full of flavor. All of this was less than half what you would have paid in a fancy restaurant in a major metropolitan. I would say this place is 100% worth visiting if your in La grange or from anywhere near its worth the drive.

Best pie ever! The bacon pie. The food is always amazing. Love the small town atmosphere and great service. My favorite Lagrange stop.
