Ferntree Gully Hotel Feast Buffet

Visited for a family birthday on a Sunday. While the food was fresh and hot it wasnt outstanding by any stretch. The usual suspects for a buffet at $28 for A and $15 for kids. The roast lamb was good but many times had none cut or nobody serving. Good level of clenliness and a kids room. Wouldn't rush back but wouldnt discourage either.

12 of our family enjoyed a birthday celebration. We have a few dietary needs but there was so much variety that everyone enjoyed their meal. It was a smorgasbord and well presented. The venue is clean and updated and staff very helpful. We will be back!

We were expecting more considering the reviews. The variety of food was limited - it was tasty enough but the sort of food you'd make at home -nothing special and not a lot of different choices. The desserts were average - typical buffet style - ice-cream, pavlova, various cake slices with one bowl of fruit that looked like it had been left over from lunch. It was warm in the restaurant and maybe that's why the lettuce looked a bit wilted and the watermelon less than fresh. The atmosphere was more family orientated with kids' karaoke going on the entire time we were there. We like kids but a little less of the karaoke machine would have been appreciated. Someone dropped food on the floor that was not cleaned up immediately and our plates sat on the table for a long while - making it all feel a little unprofessional. The prices were average but for $28 for an adult I'd go elsewhere next time. Sorry but I can't recommend it and won't be back.

Spacious, clean and inviting venue. Helpful and well dressed staff. Broad range of food to choose from, including deserts. Reasonable drinks prices and it is easy to feel quite comfortable. Not five star but certainly good tucker well presented.

Easy to find on the Burwood Highway and was just a walk across the carpark from our motel room. Greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table in the spacious restaurant. Plenty of room to move. Food was easily accessed and mostly labelled. We were impressed with the range of food on offer and it was nicely presented and tasted great.We would eat here again if back in the area at mealtimes.
