Ordered chicken and vegetable tempura, and I got chicken katsu and vegetable tempura. The chicken was more breading than chicken, thin, dry, and hard. The sushi rolls were okay, but very thin slices of fish. All in all, if this was my first time eating Japanese food, it'd be the last. Fortunately, I've had Japanese food very often and know what it is supposed to be like. Terrible food and couldn't even get my order right. I'd have walked out if seated in the restaurant, but they got away with it as it was ToGo, and I didn't have the energy to take it back. I would recommend going to Hanayori's downtown, much, much better!
The Lover's Boat is a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. It comes packed with a delightful variety of sushi, sashimi, and rainbow rolls that showcase the chef's expertise and attention to detail. The freshness of the fish, combined with the perfect texture of the rice, created a symphony of flavors with each bite. I was truly transported to sushi heaven! While the Lover's Boat stole the show, I also had the chance to try their matcha bubble milk tea. Although it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was still a delicious and refreshing drink. The matcha flavor was well-balanced, and the bubbles added a fun and playful texture. It complemented the sushi perfectly and left me feeling satisfied.
My husband loves sushi and has been eating it for many years so he knows what good sushi is supposed to be. He said the eel was cut so tiny as to be nonexistent in the eel roll. And in the dragon roll the eel was so thin you couldn't find it. The next table over had teriyaki chicken that looked marvelous.
The food was good but we called in our order to go. Then we ordered some bobas. Our order was ready but they didn't make our bobas because they ran out of the bobas. They made some for the people that came in after us and they wanted us to wait. We didn't wait because we didn't want our food to get cold.
