York's Roast Beef Seafood - KITTERY

The food was better than the other seafood shacks. The owner was very friendly. We have been going there for the past 3 years. Look forward to our next trip there.

I ordered a lobster roll@$14.95 asked for onion rings hold the fries. I was not told about the $1.00 charge for O rings that's ok. But what I got was a mayo roll with little lobster. O rings were the only thing you could eat. I gave it back to the man in charge and gave it a thumbs down. He came over asked I explained and he said to bad that's how they make it. 1/4 lb. of lobster but I got mayo. So if you want a mayo roll with a little lobster go there. I say stay away !!!!

My wife and I shared a clam plate. Plenty of food, great clams and onion rings and delicious home made cole slaw. Highly recommended! Owner was very personable.

York 's Best is probably the best bang for my buck that I have ever gotten for fried seafood. When my husband and I first went there we spent like $20.00 and got the Combo plate and were thoroughly satisfied! And we have been going back ever since! They have the best fried clams that I think I 've had in a long time and it didn 't leave our wallets feeling the pain either. Our little girl even loves going there for their 'octodogs ' (a hot dog that is cut to look like an octopus) I would recommend anyone who doesn 't want to pay an arm and a leg for fried seafood should stop in and see the friendly owner Woody, who will always have a friendly story to tell...

I ordered a plate of seafood here and it was terrible. I felt like I was in some random midstate that had no access to fresh seafood. It had a terrible aftertaste, like it had been left out for days. And the fry part itself was overdone, and disgusting. Everything was leaking grease as well. If you have to go here, stick to their roast beef.
