South St. Burger - Kitchener

The staff was friendly enough but were unsure of the routines required for their job. The cashier told me I could not make a combo with a side salad when the menu board clearly states I can. When I went to pay cash the cashier did not know what to do after punching in debit. The manager came over and clearly fixed that but upon further review of my receipt she charged me extra for bottled water of which my receipt states i bought Montpellier sparkling water of which I did not. The young lady filling my order did not know how to make a side salad but does now however a little less dressing would have been appreciated. Would I recommend this location or go back to this location probably not…but the burger was good.

We waited over 30 minutes for two burgers after ordering upon arrival. There were only two staff working and the person that took our order ignored us initially -and instead proceeded to process an online order that came in after we arrived. Our burgers sat on the counter unwrapped for almost 5 minutes before being wrapped, then we waited another 2-3 minutes for fries. The burgers were obviously cold. Tables were not clean/were sticky. Very dissatisfied, we have been happy during other visits. Definitely will not return.

My wife and I were getting hungry and we saw South St Burger and thought we 'd give it a try. When ordering what 's actually included in an burger when ordering was a puzzle especially when standing in line waiting, without time to read everything. We ordered two True North burgers with fries. The fries were great with the skins on. The toppings, bacon, cheddar cheese and onion gave the first couple of bites a treat. The patty itself was a bit dry with no great taste or quality in itself; it needed more sauce to spice it up a bit. The restaurant has a hygiene problem. When we first sat down we both noticed that the tables were sticky, especially around the edges. There is no excuse for this kind of sloppiness where customers have to eat. I went to the washroom to wash my hands and found the sink to be a mess. There was an opaque liquid around the tap which looked filthy duo to lack of cleaning. We would not go back to this burger place. A final word about the price; the burgers are about 40% or more overpriced. Our bill was a few cents shy of $40 which is ridiculous.

So we Googled top 10 burgers in waterloo and we thought we would try this one. My wife and I stopped in to get burgers in the evening. First and last time. The burgers were actually not bad but the cleanliness of the tables and floor was disgusting. I should have realized that before venturing into the washroom which took disgusting to the next level!
