East Side Mario's - Kitchener

I ordered penne pasta with shrimp alfredo. Most of my pasta was all stuck together. I piled it to one side and showed the waitress. She said sorry! Meanwhile I couldn't eat all of my meal because of that. That totally turns me off when more than half of my pasta is stuck together and I wasn't offered to order something else. The few shrimp I had were tasty. Their warm bread they bring to the table was very good. I was disappointed with my meal. They could clearly see it was nothing that I had done. It was served that way! I thought perhaps they would have offered me a discount or a different meal. But no. I would not eat here again. The music was very loud there. Too distracting to hear people at my table.

We were here for dinner, close to closing time. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, and it still took over 5 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Someone else came and took our meal order 10-15 minutes after that. When the drinks came, the berries in my sangria were pretty sad looking - though the flavour was good.At no point were we offered a refill on our all-you-can-eat garlic homeloaf and salad. The food was good and arrived quickly after we were finally able to order, and the server was apologetic for the wait to get our order, which helped redeem the visit. All in all, it was an ok dinner. Not great, but not bad.

The waiters were very courteous. Walking into the place it had that wonderful garlic smell. Good eats.

Went for 6 pm for drinks and appetizers before seeing a movie tonight with a friend. They were busy as usual but we seemed to have a longer than usual wait. We ordered belinis and my friend was disappointed that there was no fresh peach garnish like she had before. We eventually made up our minds which appetizers we wanted. The server walked away before my friend finished talking and I never even had a chance to say what I wanted. My friend asked for the bill but the server never brought it she had to go find her to once again ask for it. Very disappointing visit I will be going to Applebee's from now on on movie nights.

A few years ago, I really enjoyed eating here, however the service and quality has gone down.I live abroad now, but my boyfriend and I went back to Cambridge to visit my family this summer. We went out to dinner at East Side's in Cambridge centre and immediately I felt a rather rude vibe from our waitress. She was trying a bit too hard, and the way she spoke to my father was very demeaning. His English is not the best, however we have never had any problems before this experience. The waitress started to speak to him as if he was a child. I was there and wanted to help translate and make it easier, but she just constantly butt in while I was trying to talk. She was very insincere.Aside from that, the food was terrible... I was very disappointed. I got the basa filet with vegetables. The vegetables taste terrible! They were very obviously low quality frozen vegetables.. And my father got the chicken parmigiana, it was so burnt, hard and dry! It was a very disappointing dinner.. I am very sad as I used to love this restaurant! However, something has changed, the food and service are no longer good and I will not be returning to this location.
