The White Gate - Kirklees

I was craving a traditionally cooked pub meal! And that’s what I got! Outstanding food, so much food! A bargin! Was delicious. Staff welcoming and kind. I Will be going again! Sorry for the picture I had starting eating before hand. Couldn’t wait. Thank you.

Lovely home cooked food. Friendly staff and owners. We both had the Steak and Ale pie and there was so much we were too full to try the sweets. We will definitely visit again. Highly recommend.

Nice hot plentiful food. Service needs a little retraining but nothing that cannot be resolved. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic food and brilliant service from staff, very friendly. We generally eat at the same places but very glad we tried Whitegate pub, we can add it to the places we trust to go eat!

Visited last sunday, had garlic mushrooms to start with which was lovely, ordered sausage and mash for our main, when the food came out we was appauled, 3 richmond sausage, bear in mind theres a farm shop just up the road, packet mash which we expected being proper mash especially when its your sunday dinner, peas looked old, watery gravy, definately wouldnt go again, very disappointed
