Even though it was a chicken burger restaurant, their food was unique and unlike anything I've had before. The bread and chicken were delicious. My only complaint was the gravy, which was too strong for my taste. I hope they reopen soon because I miss their delicious chicken dishes!
So I ordered a boneless meal which was supposed to include 3 mini strips and 4 bites, and sweetcorn, however when it arrived it came with no strips and 1 chicken leg and 3 bites and no sweetcorn. Instantly I took it back and said it was the wrong order then they said no it's the right order however they could only give me coleslaw instead of sweetcorn, as I dislike coleslaw I refused this offer. 5 minutes later the chef came out and was very rude and said they were understaffed and therefore had no time to cook my actual order so instead gave me anything they could find. I then asked for a refund and the chef just walked off then came back with a piece of sweetcorn put it down then walked off, when questioned about the mini strips that I had paid for but not received the chef just walked off. In the end I left and ate somewhere else however I was not offered a refund. All in all avoid this place at all costs and just eat at Burger King which is next door.
I was in town yesterday for a quick lunch break and decided to stop by The Roosters for some food. The menu is quite limited, but luckily there was no line around 1:00pm. I ordered chicken wings, halloumi bites, and a bottle of water. The chef suggested getting a chicken meal instead, as it was the same price but came with chips. I didn't mind waiting about 6 or 7 minutes for my order, as I was able to relax and sit down. The food was amazing - the chips had a unique crumbly texture and were both crispy and soft inside. The seasoning on the chicken wings was a bit different, possibly with a hint of anchovies or fish sauce in the BBQ sauce. The wings were cooked perfectly, with a nice crisp bite and moist chicken. The BBQ sauce was sweet and sour, complementing the wings well. The halloumi bites were fried pieces with subtle seasoning and were quite addictive. I was also given a pot of chili/pepper jam, which was delicious with everything. Overall, it was a great meal. I'm not sure how busy it gets during rush hour, but if you go at a quieter time, the food is made to order, the staff is friendly, and the service is excellent.
This must be the worst staffed place I have ever been to!! Over dried chicken and cold chips stay away truly waste of for what you pay stick to KFC
I experienced an incredibly long wait for my food at this fast food restaurant, approximately 30 minutes, which is unacceptable. The staff seemed unprepared and disorganized, constantly asking customers to repeat their orders. I did not receive a receipt and had no way to verify my order. Others who ordered after me received their food before me. When my food finally arrived, the chips were cold and the bacon in the burger was unappetizing, with a grey/green color and a texture similar to chopped up beef jerky. I would not return to this restaurant even if I were extremely hungry.
