The manager denied having received the order, was not only unapologetic but extremely rude and aggressive saying that it was not their responsibility. I spent the next three hours trying to have my payment refunded. In the managers defence he did eventually apologise for his earlier conduct. However, if you value your disposable income, free time and sanity stay well away.
This is my third visit to Huddersfield and my third visit to my favorite Indian restaurant in Yorkshire. These guys always impress me with the delicious food and top-notch service. The staff is friendly and professional. Keep up the great work, 5 stars!
I went with some friends to this restaurant after hearing good things about it. We were pleasantly surprised by the light and beautiful decor and the warm welcome received upon entering. The menu was impressive, offering not only the usual dishes but also some delightful surprises, like the pickle tray and delicious mains. The mango lassi was a standout. In my opinion, the prices are too low for the high quality of food and service offered. The manager, Muky, was charming and made us feel right at home on our first visit. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to all our family and friends.
We visited this restaurant based on the recommendation of friends who absolutely love it. The decor is a beautiful blend of modern and authentic styles. We started with a mix starter for two, which was perfect. My friend ordered the fish tikka, which looked appetizing. I tried the house special duck for my main course, and it was cooked beautifully with just the right amount of spices. My partner had the rajshahi rasoi, which was full of flavor. The pilau rice was fluffy and the naan bread was thin and soft. The service was very attentive, especially from the head waiter Muky, who made us feel like old friends. It is a BYOB restaurant, and we took advantage of a Thursday special offering a five-course meal for $8.95, so we paid a bargain price of $36.00 for four people. We will definitely be returning and would recommend it to all our friends. The food, service, and ambience all deserve a 5-star rating.
We have eaten at the restaurant several times and always had a nice experience hence why we booked a table for a special occasion on Tuesday 3rd October for 7pm. We took a taxi to the restaurant to find out that it was closed with no notice outside to explain why. As this was the case we had to to take the taxi home without actually eating at the restaurant and we were obviously concerned and frustrated why the restaurant hadn’t called us to notify us that the restaurant wasn’t opening. When I called the restaurant the next day the waiter on the phone explained that the restaurant hadn’t opened due to a family issue. I explained to say that whilst our thoughts and prayers go out to the family the fact remained that we had spent wasted time, money and effort on making it to and from the restaurant that evening and the waiter seemed to show no empathy for this and didn’t offer anything by way of apology for either not getting in touch with us that evening or the day after to apologise for the lack of contact. I am not sure how many other tables may have been affected but surely as a restaurant that prides itself on good customer service the customers that had booked should have been notified at some point prior to the evening or the day after. As there was a lack of remorse shown by the waiter and no compensation offered we will not be coming back to the restaurant again which is a shame because on previous visits we’d enjoyed the food and the service. I strongly recommend the restaurant management learn from this experience and not make the same mistake again in order not to lose valuable repeat customers!
