Maurizio Resto Cafe - Kirkland

We were people coming to Maurizio for a weekday dinner (with a Tuango or Groupon promotion). The price of the coupon was for people which includes an appetizer, a main course and a glass of wine. The restaurant was next to empty,...but we did not feel welcomed by the waitress. The cesar salad was uninteresting, having no egg yolk in it. As mains, we had pizzas and one pasta course. The pizzas were way way too salty and we had to discard all the dressings that may cause it (mainly the black olives). I wonder if the chef ever tastes his pizzas? We barely ate half of our meal and took out the rest (it helps to eat it with an unsalted salad). One the other, my friend's pasta dish turned out OK.

My wife and I had breakfast at this restaurant in August. Unfortunately, our waitress was not following the current health regulations as her mask was worn below her nose. Due to this violation, we have decided not to return.

Service was very slow and although there were several employees in the store, it took forever for of them to wait on our table both of our meals were lousy, if I could give them a zero rating review I would but the lowest so had to go with that...my husband had the veal parmigiana which was served burnt and I had a pizza, if that's what they call it there, omg, horrible this was on a Sunday afternoon after their so called rush hour brunch in the A.M....we wanted to walk out even before ordering not only cuz it took forever to get someone to wait on us but when she handed us the menu and we saw the OUTRAGEOUS pricing, that's when we should have left if the meal had been appetizing and good then ok but for what we got, wow, the veal looked like it was THROWN on the plate in a HUGE RUSH, but again we waited long enough for it to be presented properly on a dish and my pizza was paper loose leaf thin and tasted like cardboard!! Would never step foot back in that place again and I am Italian and I know good AUTHENTIC Italian food, this was not even close to Italian food...was a total RIPOFF! you get better food at a fast food restaurant than at this place!! Zero grade mark on plate presentation, I dunno how people flock to this restaurant and what the hype is about...Cafe Maurizio has a long way to go when it comes to plate presentation of a meal maybe their brunch is better put together but I would NOT risk going back, just in case!!

Arrived at am, inner restaurant was empty and the terrace had tables occupied with patrons on each. We ordered two lattés and two crepe breakfasts with spinach and cheese. The lattés were served within minutes, but minutes after the lattés,...the breakfasts had not arrived. Considering there were no other patrons and the kitchen could not be busy, I couldn't understand why it took so long for the breakfasts, so I entered the restaurant from the terrace to inquire about our breakfasts. The lattés were finished at that point... The waitress rushed down to the kitchen window and some words were exchanged between her and the kitchen.... I went back outside and within two minutes she emerged from the restaurant holding two breakfast plates. The crepes were covered with a hollandaise sauce that had literally congealed on the crepes from an overhead heat lamp that had baked the breakfast for a while. Quite disappointing.... But the real surprise was the taste of the crepe. The cheese was Cheez Whiz !!!! And the total cost of the congealed Cheez Whiz breakfast and two lattés was !!!! Go there if you dare.

My partner and I used a Tuango coupon for dinner at this restaurant and had a fantastic meal. I decided to pay a little extra for the veal parmigiana, while my partner opted for the spaghetti with meat sauce, which he proclaimed to be the best he had ever tasted. The veal was exceptional. Our waiter, Dario, was also outstanding.
