Shari's Cafe And Pies - Kirkland

Date of visit: Sat, Dec 9th, 2023 @5pm-ish FOOD: The fries were overcooked. I was pleasantly surprised to find real cheddar in the mac cheese. It was really good! While the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and tasted pretty good, it was probably closer to 4oz than the 6oz it was supposed to be. *They were out of A1, but they did have Heinz 57. My son had a burger with fries and didn't seem to mind one bit that they were overcooked. In fact, after devouring his food, he started in on mine. He also got a strawberry lemonade but was not very enthused..his grandma finished it for him. I don't recall what my Mom got, but she had no complaints! SERVICE: Our server was all by herself on a Sat evening (bless her heart), but despite the restaurant being rather busy, she never kept us waiting and managed to check on us throughout our visit. Additionally, she was very friendly and patient with me while I took forever to order, and her laugh was contagious! ATMOSPHERE: Shari's has a distinctive, old-school vibe that literally has not changed for as long as I can recall, and I'm 45y/o! The reason we choose to go to Shari's is for that cozy, nostalgic feeling we can't get anywhere else. Shari's has managed to carve out a lane of their own while creating a time capsule that is familiar and comfortable and warm. Please continue to never change Shari's!

It's right off the freeway, so it's really convenient to run in to get a piece of pie and use the restroom and dip back out.

The service was amazing! We went during lunch, so it was kinda busy. Our server was a very friendly, attentive, cheerful, and informative older woman with short hair! She really made the experience enjoyable. The food was good, kinda lukewarm, but the portions and flavors were nice.. It would have been perfect overall if the food was just a little bit hotter. Definitely recommend!

Must try the milkshake made with a slice of pie!! Yummy!!
