Small, homey little restaurant with great food, especially the breakfast and mini tacos. The service is great and it's rarely too busy. Definitely my go to Mexican place.
After waiting for about 20 minutes, another customer arrived, ordered, and received their food much faster than we did. My mother's meal arrived first, but it was lukewarm at best, and the soup that accompanied it tasted quite bland, almost like water. I ordered the fish, which came with fries, rice, and a salad topped with tomatoes. Unfortunately, the fish had an unpleasant, old taste, while the rice was fine, albeit half of the fries were boiled instead of crispy. Ultimately, we set our meals aside and decided to just eat the fries. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone based on my experience.
I eat breakfast or lunch here once a week, and I’ve never experienced bad service or food. The atmosphere is friendly, and the place is clean. The service feels more like home compared to what you get at chain restaurants.
I wouldn't recommend this place. It's quite pricey—$3.80 for two breakfast tacos, which are just like any other taco offering. There's nothing special about the food. They might be charging more since they recently renovated the site and are likely passing those costs on to customers. I found another place nearby called La Parrillada that serves really good food for much less. It's only 3 minutes away at 4911 Seguin Rd, and their breakfast tacos are just 99 cents.
