Talked very highly of the course to everybody in the area, plus we even looked past the unwell maintained cart paths, and golf carts. Loved it so much that we came 48 hours later to play 18. Round was going very smoothly until we noticed the greenskeeper around hole 17, watching us play. Not thinking anything of it we kept going until we finished. After we finish putting, the greenskeeper stopped us on 18. She then proceeded to yell at us for disrespecting 'her course, ' and using vulgar language on the course. Said that she had been watching us for 3 holes disrespect the course. We were confused as a whole, because we had fixed divots and greens the whole round, since we all come from huge courses where it is a requirement to fix those things. We then went into the pro shop to try to get some clarity as to why she was yelling at us, and the front desk worker backed her up, knowing nothing about the situation whatsoever. She told us that it is her family business, which is very respectable and honorable. But basically, she tried to make us out as being an example for all the other younger people that go there to golf and destroy the course! After being banned by the greenskeeper, and unbanned by the lady at the front desk, she tried to buy us a drink from the cooler in hopes to make it up to us. I will not even step anywhere near this golf course. I suggest you do the same.
Worst golfing experience ever! Got accosted and yelled at on 18th green for no reason by greens keeper! Claimed we were “trashing course” and driving on green. Yet, we were fixing other peoples divots and our cart never even touched a fringe let alone a green! I will never be back and I suggest never going here! Save your money and go to Pine Hill!
Nice place but man are they rude! They have a nice place that they don't know how to manage there are a couple nice people but they DO NOT work in the club house. Would not recommend.
I had the opportunity to host Golf writer's Shawn Masterson Saturday morning 8/24 and on a referral from another colleague we ended up in rural Ohio at Bronzewood Golf Club ..I reserved a tee time days in advance Not letting the establishment know who I was bringing and upon arrival 20 minutes early we were greeted with smiles and good conversation...After registration and a quick talk with the ranger who encouraged us to go for the green on hole 1 we teed off ...After the front 9 and the place being busy as can be we walked around the clubhouse got some drinks and started the back 9 ...when we finished the course again we were greeted with all smiles and good conversation with the owner who still didn't know who we were ...We were invite back despite us playing slow ,as we took in the entire course layout ,impeccable greens, and the vast amounts of visible labor that place had undergone in the time it's been here ... Did I mention we had to call the clubhouse on green 2 for a replacement cart as ours wouldn't warm up and again the owner was there in a jiffy with a replacement and apologized for the cart ..Not his fault but he apologized anyway ...I encourage everyone to try this place out ..I'll definitely be back in the near future ....A+ @ShawnMasterson
