The Fishmarket - Kinsale

The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was excellent, served quickly.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE ANY FOOD INTOLERANCES OR ALLERGIES!!! We took our mother, who has Coeliac disease, to this restaurant during our trip to Cork. We inquired with the server about one of the dishes on the menu, and she assured us it was gluten-free because it was cooked in a separate fryer. When the meal arrived, we double-checked to confirm it was gluten-free and were told yes again. Unfortunately, less than two hours after eating, my mother became very ill from what we believe was gluten contamination in the supposedly gluten-free meal. We had to cancel the rest of our trip because her condition was so severe due to whatever cross-contamination occurred in their kitchen. We will never return to this establishment. We are utterly appalled by their negligence.

The food was of a high quality, but the staff left something to be desired. I also would not recommend ordering the Reuben Sandwich. It was quite disappointing for nearly €12, making it one of the worst values for money in all of Ireland, not just Kinsale.

The Blue Haven is always good. Great breakfast items, soups are different and tasty., staff are friendly and helpful

Food was brilliant and the atmosphere very good worth a visit.
