O'Shea's Pub & Eatery - KINKORA

My boyfriend and I were on vacation exploring PEI. We were staying in cavendish and there wasn't anything open passed 10 pm so we decided to head out a little further. We read about this place and figured why not. Thank god we did!! The food, AMAZING! Every single thing we ordered, we devoured, and the beer he recommended did not disappoint. Plus.. not only did our server give excellent service, he made the food!! I'm going to assume he was the owner since every person who walked in called him by name. If you're around the area, definitely check it out✌

Small restaurant in an out of the way restaurant located in a small town of a main highway varied menu. reasonably priced. service was good.

Stopped here for lunch on the way from Charlottetown to SummersideNothing fancy about the place....maybe 15 tables inside and a deck out back with 3-4 tables.Service was friendly and warm lots of smilesMenu is extensive pub food..burgers, sandwiches, wide range of salads and appies. Burgers were excellent. Soup of the day ...chicken vegetable was outstanding. Lots of fries with everything ...yam fries were a hit. Good selection of beersGood sized portions and tasty....were asked at least three times if evrything was OK with food.Moderately pricedWashrooms were very cleanA good, basic pub lunch with friendly service.....excellent value.....recommended

O'Shea's is in a small town east of Summerside and south of Kensington. Serving more the locals and transient traffic rather than a traditional tourist, its open for brunch, lunch and dinner. There is no late-night "dinner", as like most places on island, kitchens close between 700-800pm, but they offer munchies and bar snack stuff until their midnight to 2am close. They are closed on Mondays.It's not a big place, and can get busy on weekends in the summer with the area visitors and locals, but the food is good and reasonably priced. Expect a few of the traveling bicyclists too, as its a good bike route preferred over the busier main roads a few miles north.Surprisingly, a few of the pub menu items are rather interesting variations of the norm and sound like worth a try on a return visit.The small main dining area is separated from the bar area but a partial partition, and they do have a few TV's on the bar side than can get distracting. They also have a separate pool hall-function room too. There is a small outdoor patio, and being inland, the view is limited, but you sit outside for fun and mingling more than anything else.Can't say how busy it gets in the winter, but early weekdays in the summer is laid back and a quiet place to grab a meal, and business picks up from Wednesday to the weekend. I'm heading back to have a late lunch there again on next years vacation.
