Mettawas Station Mediterranean Restaurant

Atmosphere was nice and the food was quite good. We ordered watermelon salad, eggplant Parmesan and lasagna. The service was slow and they could have perhaps used another waiter for our area but we weren't in a rush to leave, we were just hungry.

My wife and I, with our son and hid girlfriend had dinner at "The Station" this last Friday evening. We phoned in a reservation while driving from Stoney Creek and the the restaurant was very accommodating. Service was great. All food we had was excellent (fish, pasta, veal). The bread is top drawer - be sure to take home a bottle of Majanna's Bread Dip. Nice wine selection and fine desserts. The bonus was this is reasonably priced. Well done, Mettawas Station!

I have been here many times and it is always an extremely enjoyable experience. The food is always excellent and more importantly the service and atmosphere are always top notch. Always get the soup!

The food was good but the building had all the character from a time long ago... certainly a nice change to sit out on the deck, have a nice dinner and just enjoy life.

My Husband and I had dinner at Mettawas, to celebrate our anniversary. The food was delicious and servings are generous. I had the lamb rack which easily could be shared (and I did!) while my Husband chose chicken parmigiana. Both were served with green beans and potatoes. These mains include a soup or green salad, starter, though we paid an extra $4 to have the French onion soup (- surprised that supplement is so high, as there's only $2 difference between it and other soups if chosen from the menu). I don't know why there are no prices shown for cocktails or beers, on the wine/alcohol list, but wine seems quite expensive. Our Server, Lyndsey, was patient with our many questions about the menu and checked regularly that all was satisfactory. We were surprised that the restaurant wasn't very busy, but were advised to book for weekends. The kitchen closes at 8pm on weekdays and 9pm on Saturdays and is closed on Mondays. We are visitors to Kingsville and this is definitely the best food and service we've had so far. Would we go back? -- Definitely!
