Had birthday dinner tonight in doyles bistro with family. ordered seafood plate for two, salmon net, spaghetti marinara and seafood saganaki. eating was pub bistro standard and overpriced for quality. doyles is often busy because it has the pleasure to be in a good position on the water.
On Friday we had lunch, on each level the service was terrible, from the question to sit inside was hit with well outside would be better as it christmas, although it tables available. I asked about the menu that the young woman said she didn't ask me if she should find out? , she came back and I asked her about another article, she looked like I didn't know anymore, so I have something else, everything too hard. my friend had his lunch to end went on the toilet when he was questioned by a worker, they will pay that he was not) he said I go into the toilet? . when we then let the person pay, ignored us simply because they had something straight the bill no eye contact statement passed, no thank you) we saw each other upset, then I said how one of their workers would have done it was our fault, we were crushed. obviously all these mistakes are not all mentioned) a reflexion about management, by the way, eating is simply ok, but expensive for what u get. they don't deserve my need.
I visited my onkels high time in doyles a few weeks ago and had a really good experience. the ceremony took place outside and was laid back and funny (complete for my onkel.) after the ceremony we moved to the lunchtime in the bistro. We sat in a private room with a large round table that was great. I ordered the cob loaf with garlic butter and the doyles pumpkin risotto. the Cob-Loaf came warm and was delicious. the risotto was also great, but probably a smaller portion size I expected. all the others on the table also seemed satisfied with their meal times, and there were many options on the menu to choose from. the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service could be improved that my cousin had to give the menu for everyone on the table, and the waitress would go away from the table before everyone takes the beverage orders. the meal times are also a little more expensive than I would expect from a bistro. overall but a great experience.
Went to Doyle’s tonight, me and my boyfriend got a Parma each, it was severely overpriced $29 for a Parma that was bland and boring. Didn’t even come with a side salad, only chips. We asked for gravy on the side and it was disgusting, tasted like someone had watered down tomato paste, it wasn’t even brown it was tomato paste red.
