I usually stop on mimosa, with friends on the way back from a long bike tour on Sundays. the owner always has a smile, wonderful baked and good coffee. it is from the main tow, but close to the market. Go.
First visit and the owner and the staff were so friendly. the food and drink menu is extensive and we have tried some Portuguese tapas that were delicious.
Really interesting eating and drinking, led by a very friendly chap. coffee was good, excellent cakes and snacks etc.
In the UK it's hard to find such a good Portuguese coffee shop; most are average but these folks really put an extra effort into their cakes, pasties and food in general. The array of deli products is also varied and of very good quality. We...went in late November so they also had Bolo Rei (Portuguese Christmas cake) which is by far one of the best I've ever had (which I'm told they bake from scratch).
