Kj Korean - Kingston upon Thames

Been here several times and will keep going back It's not fine dining or high level service... It's friendly staff and food that hits the spot Their sushi is lovely and when they spicy it really does have a kick like you'd want Never had a disappointing meal

I went to KJ to celebrate Xmas with my friends, and I'm saddened to say I was completely disappointed with the service. We had pre booked and asked if we could have a table in the corner on arrival but were told all the tables had been reserved specifically so we had to settle for the table that had been assigned to us. When our food arrived, we enquired about our complimentary side dishes, and were told that it would come out with our mains. When our mains arrived we asked once again for our side dishes and were told that we had had them already and they would bring it again just this time! Needless to say we were all perplexed?! The food was good but the portions were small compared to other Korean restaurants I've frequented in New Malden. With the extremely disappointing service and the vast choices in New Malden, I won't be coming back to KJ again.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our Christmas party . Unfortunately we were disappointed with the service. We didn't receive the side dish we ordered/asked the waitress what happened to the side dish and thought we were after a freebie . I won't go back with this attitude. The potion was very small. Not worth it

Sadly our pre Christmas meal was let down by the appalling service at KJ. Although the food quality was ok, the waitress was rude and accused us of already consuming side dishes which had never been served to us and did not apologise for her mistake. The food portions were tiny tempura soft shell crab was not worth £10 and sashimi was more shredded daikon. Overall a disappointing experience and will not be returning.

If you're going for fine dining and perfectly attentive service then this isn't the place. If you want relaxation, good food, fun atmosphere then this is the place. Didn't feel pressurised to order and eat and go. We just kept ordering different things and the team were great at making suggestions and explaining dishes we didn't know. Can't wait to gio back
