We dined at Deea tonight for a farewell meal. It seems that they have recently updated their menu, however, they were unable to provide us with a physical menu or have it available on their website. We have been dining at Deea for many years and the food has always been fantastic, but tonight's meal was extremely disappointing. We asked for a refund as the meal was both expensive and of terrible quality. Hopefully, Deea will revert back to their previous menu and cooking standards. If not, it is unlikely that they will survive. What a shame that would be.
Deea took over hours to eat my last night (I live roads away). the first time I called after hours, I was told that it was only picked up (no excuse for waiting), then was said half an hour later. it had just been picked up, and it was said that I had not waited hours (the recordings I did). no apologies, no other explanation than “yes, we are busy”. dee I have used your restaurant for years and finished the last night. shocking customer service and eating was cold. if they choose to all these suppliers, make sure they have enough personal to complete the orders. many better restaurants in the environment, avoid.
Karen I were stopping at the Queen’s Head Pub just across the Richmond Road as a birthday treat. The Pub’s kitchen closed earlier on Sundays. As we wanted to eat a bit later we looked for a meal not too far away and didn’t...fancy the walk down to the restaurants by the Thames, which can be pricey. I had spotted The Deea Bangladeshi the night before, which apart from being just a minute walk away, looked welcoming and was quite full of (obviously) happy diners. So glad we went in! The food was superb, piping hot and was served without delay by really friendly staff. We didn’t go for starters but had crisp, warm poppadoms and excellent chutneys, in particular the lime pickle. Karen had the Vegetarian Thali and I had my favourite Chicken Methi (madras hot) and Lemon Rice and we shared the naan bread that came with the Thali. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal from start to finish, including pints of drought Kingfisher and a bottle of Italian red wine, all reasonably priced. The restaurant itself was nice and comfortable, spotlessly clean and well lit. We stop at The Queen’s Head a few times a year and will definitely come back to this Indian Restaurant. Thoroughly recommended by us both!
Fantastic tasting dishes- would definitely order from here again and will now try to eat in the restaurant! cheerful delivery too.
