Cau - Kingston upon Thames

I absolutely adore the cocktails at this restaurant. The Cau Girl Martini is a vibrant blue and the presentation of all the cocktails is stunning. The Anticuchos skewers were delicious and had flavors similar to onion rings. I would love to come back here on a sunny day.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover a hidden row of restaurants located next to the riverwalk. I had the opportunity to sample the offerings at these establishments with a group of food bloggers. Each course was provided by a different restaurant, starting with drinks and appetizers at the Argentine steakhouse, Cau.

During this time of year, when the weather is nice, everyone wants to dine al fresco. Cau is a group of restaurants located in Kingston that offer different themes. Each restaurant has a small terrace, including Comptoir Libanese, Busabai Eatery, and Cote. Although I had not yet tried Cau, it seems that restaurants with strict adherence to Cau's concepts are popping up everywhere at the moment.

Being grown up as a good British farmer's son, eating meat from another country is a crime that only serves to betray. Therefore, eating in cau, a restaurant that only serves bark from Argentinia, I was a little skeptical I went after cau, completely ready to leave and in a position to say that the bark was ok, but not as good. the bark is amazing. fully flavored and fabulous. the steaks are the best. the restaurant staff called cau girls and cau boys are well trained and attentive. they all seem to enjoy what they do, the restaurant in which they work and eat that they serve. it can be loud and busy in the evening service, the kitchen is the...more

What I didn't know was that they were hiding a little sun-trap strip of restaurants right beside the thames: The Riverside Walk. I was invited down, along with some other fab foodie bloggers, to try out some of what the Riverside had to offer. Each course, we were hosted by a different restaurant kicking off with drinks and starters in Argentinian steakhouse Cau.
