English breakfast and Sunday dinners from here are both very good quality food! Would definitely recommend visiting. Reasonably priced too

We made a reservation for Sunday lunch for 3 adults and 1 child to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We had dined at this restaurant before (pre Covid) and had an amazing meal. This time, we had the restaurant all to ourselves, which was a nice touch! My husband ordered the steak pie, while the rest of us opted for the roast beef. The food was delicious, with the beef being tender and succulent. There was a variety of vegetables, mashed and roast potatoes, and a large Yorkshire pudding. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. Our granddaughter had a wonderful time, and the staff were attentive and even gave her a lollipop for finishing her meal. We were all too full to have dessert, but the meal was definitely worth the price. My only minor complaint was about the restroom - the lock was sticky and we each got locked inside at different times. Additionally, the hand soap dispenser was empty and the towel felt damp and musty.

We cannot thank the staff at Jacques enough! Not only was the food and coffee excellent , the staff were exceptional. We visited today with my father who is unwell and can be very challenging and unpredictable at times. Not his fault but some people struggle to cope . The staff at Jacques just took it all in their stride and continued to be professional, calm, nothing too much trouble. You are amazing, huge thank you

I visited this restaurant with my friend. We were not aware of their booking system, so we went inside to order. One rude staff member kept repeating that most tables were booked. We decided to sit outside anyway, but the service was still not very friendly. We were given a menu and went outside to decide on our order. When I went back inside to order, another staff member was arguing with the first about the booked tables. I ordered a bacon mushroom dish for my friend and an egg mushroom dish for myself. We were not asked if we wanted any sauces until the food was brought out. The food was average as far as sandwiches go. We sat outside for about 1.5 hours and the reserved seats remained empty the whole time. We visited a second time, and the lady who served us was much friendlier, but it may have been because we had a baby with us. She kept coming over to talk about the baby. I am not sure if I would return for a more expensive meal with this type of service.

We visited today for a Sunday dinner. Food was top notch! Service great lovely friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks.
