Banrock Station - KINGSTON ON MURRAY

Nestled just off the main highway overlooking their wetlands and the Murray river in the distance, Banrock Station has a welcoming feel from the moment you walk through the door. Greeted with a warm smile the staff are eager to inform and answer any questions. The food menu has enough to keep you satisfied and is very well prepared and presented. Sitting on the balcony with a red in hand, doesn't get much better. Wine tasting prior to lunch allows you to choose that perfect drop to accompany the fine fair. The wetland walk which can be long or short is a great way to work off the lunch and a perfect way to finish the day.

Great location, friendly staff and very nice wines!!!We've been here a few times now and we always like it here. A great place to chill out and eat and drink.On a nice day it is a perfect spot too out onto the river and if you have time go for a walk amongst the vineyards :-)

Choice of 3 walks out into the wetlands although dry when we went followed by a spectacular lunch of crisp pork - slow cooked then panko crumbed. Never had better pork than that. Prices good. Ate out on the deck overlooking the vines and wetlands in the sun. Land being revegetated very inspiring to see as school children and community are involved. Service great. Highly recommend.

The winery and restaurant is in a wonderful location with views over the adjoining wetlands across to the River Murray in the mid-distance.The wines are good, especially the Mediterranean style line of products. We bought a bottle of a red to have a glass with lunch and then take the rest with us. It was most enjoyable.There is a good and varied lunch menu with some daily specials. Seating is on the deck with views over the wetlands. I am a coeliac and there was a reasonable selection of gluten free options. Prices are aligned to higher end bistros but reasonable considering where you are.I ordered the pork belly. It was served in a timely manner by efficient and friendly staff and provided a sizeable portion. Unfortunately, the expected crispy skin was not present: perhaps on another day it might be served right.Later that evening both my wife and myself had slightly upset stomachs: food, wine or something else, we do not know but we thought it related to lunch.We would try here again: hopefully next time will be a better experience.

Great location, friendly staff, nice meals and not to mention great wine, always call in when I am out that way.
