First Capital Poke - Kingston

I've been craving onigiri and happened to be in the area, so I decided to grab an order. I also got the spam musubi. Both dishes were incredibly tasty, well-priced, and easy to take on the go. I will definitely be returning!

I love watching as they customize my food and offer options I may not have considered. However, if you're sensitive to sodium, be sure to ask them to go easy on the salty sauces. I docked a half-point for this because it can make the dish too salty. I'm also not a fan of the additional charge for vegan options, which are more expensive than traditional protein options. Another half-point deduction. On the upside, they do offer a less expensive vegan onigiri option.

This restaurant never disappoints with its fresh and delicious food. My favorite is the build your own bowl option, especially with the pineapple miso on tuna and crab - it's perfection. But the ultimate winner for me is the Ramen. The tonkotsu broth is absolutely delicious and the eggs are always cooked perfectly. The portion sizes are very generous. I recommend going in, grabbing a sake, and enjoying a bowl of Ramen. If you're lucky, try the little Portuguese donuts they sometimes have - you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it.

AMAZING POKE+! First Capital Poke Bar is unlike any other poke restaurant we've been to. After trying poke in various places including New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Hawaii, and Florida, we were recommended to visit this spot by friends and a highly respected restaurant owner in Kingston. We dined here on December 30th, 2023, and were impressed by the clean atmosphere and ample seating. The service was friendly and efficient. What sets this place apart is the quality of ingredients used in their burritos, bowls, and ramen soup dishes. Each dish had a wide array of ingredients, resulting in exceptional flavors. The Kalua pork buns were also a hit. We will definitely be returning, and highly recommend this spot to all poke enthusiasts!

Two times I had ramen there and both good experiences. Ramen is thick and very tasty, portion quote large and great ingredients. Seems to be worked to the detail. Highly recommend and will return- both for delivery and to stay and sit on a cute outside table (wish there were more and wish inside tables was a bit more cozy to dine in).Overall great
