Niji - Kingston

Like any other sushi place, it offers a selection of rolls and noodles and rice combos. The space looks more traditional than some restaurants, with wooden barriers around each table. They're kind of flimsy though so I wouldn't really touch it....Food is decent and the price is average.

I recently returned from one of the best meals I have had in a long time with my family and a couple of friends at a restaurant offering a new all-you-can-eat menu. The menu wasn't overloaded with items just to appear more diverse; instead, it covered all the basic starters and traditional Korean dishes like bulgogi. The rolls they made were extraordinary, and the price was only $18.95 for all-you-can-eat. If you enjoy sushi, I highly recommend trying it out. Make sure to also give their spicy tempura roll a try if you like spicy food.

We went for dinner with great expectations and our expectations were surpassed!We ordered half Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian and everything was incredibly tastey.Not sure what to order I just asked the Chef to prepare whatever Sushi he thought was best on the evening and I ended up being served some of the most amazingly flavoured cuts of Tuna, Salmon and Butter Fish. Just perfect! Dinner was complimented by an above average Miso Soup and a very good salad. We didn't try the Korean Menu but it looked extensive. This will be a must go for me from now on!

Honestly, I have tried a lot of Korean restaurants in different cities in Ontario and Quebec, but Niji is definitely the best among all others. The beaf and sweet potato noodle soup and beaf rib soup are my favourite. Strong flavour, a lot of meat and vegetables, and the spicy yet fresh taste really fulfilling. They also have appetizers such as fried rice cake, fried dumplings, and special tofu, all of which are super delicious yet not expensive. The service is very tremendous; they offer tasty hot tea whenever you need. Kingston has a lot of Korean and Japanese restaurants; Niji is one of the low-key ones; but you definitely have to try Niji even if you are here just for one meal!

The sushi was good and I have no complaints but I can't rate it higher as there are in my opinion many better choices for sushi in town. I had sashimi which I almost always do and sampled a few of my lovely brides rolls. As I said, everything was good, but nothing stood out as great. It seemed to me that there were only students other than ourselves dining here.
