Minos Restaurant - Kingston

Ordered the special of the house 4 lamb chops Med. After much delay and a error in plate delivery. (Us getting the wrong dinner) (which was then served to another table). The lamb was overcooked and dry. The waiter never came back to check on us. Left 2/3 of the meal on the plate. The rest in the bathroom at the hotel. Called the next morning spoke to a manager who said. What do you want me to do about it now and abruptly hung up. Worst service and food in many years. Would not return. Thought I posted this in December. But I didn't hit submit. Stay away if you like Greek food

I went to Mino's last night with a large group of people. There were 3 large groups there last night; I suspect celebrating the Christmas season. I have not liked Mino's for a very long time, but I went because my friends were going. I won't go back no matter what. I would rather miss a social event than go back there. The service was extremely slow - it always is so I don't know if they have a permanent staffing issue or if the staff is instructed to be slow. My steak was cold. I did not send it back because I did not want to wait 3 hours for it to come back to me. The restaurant was cold. I had to put my coat on to stay warm to eat my dessert. They automatically put a 15% gratuity on your bill which I know a lot of restaurants do these days but it is not a practice that I believe in. Even getting my bill took forever. I finally went up to the cash because I knew in doing so, I would get my bill.I hate this place.

First of all Mino's buns that are advertised as fresh baked daily, are not. Not even close to fresh and obviously store bought. They went right in the trash. Other than that, I don't have much to complain about. On a "Nobody wants to cook Saturday" I found myself searching the Just Eats app looking for something other than pizza. I ordered a whole chicken, with ribs and a Greek salad. It would have been nice to have other salad options, but it's a Greek restaurant so what other type of salad would you expect. The portion sizes were a bit smaller than I expected, but not unreasonably small for the price. The chicken was a bit dry, but everyone still seemed to enjoy it. My wife didn't care much for the ribs, but I thought they were delicious and happily ate her share too. Most impressive was the very fast delivery time. A side from the website fiblet about the fresh baked buns (I don't like lies Mino's), it was a pretty good meal for a reasonable cost.

I have been a frequent diner ( takeout) for a few years- I have always found their food to be delicious ( my favorite thing there is their rice!) fresh and their dinner menu items were very filling- as the dish I usually always choose comes with both salad, bread and veggies. This is my favorite spot to pick dinner up from- although some items could be considered pricy , they are well worth it.

Had 3 course dinner off the $24.99 menu. Spanakopita was very greasy but came with a nice little side salad. Had the herb crusted fish which was quite tasty but the rice was pretty bland. Potatoes were good. Very disappointed with dessert. The caramel crunch cake was the thinest slice of cake I've ever seen. It certainly wasn't the portion size you would expect to get in a restaurant. The bottom crunch layer tasted stale. The service was quick but did not come with a smile. The waitress was not at all welcoming and the main course was served so quickly after the starter that I felt all the food was pre-cooked and simply re-heated. The decor of the restaurant is very dated and tired looking. I won't be going again.
