Mcalister's Deli - Kingsport

I had heard some great reviews of McAlister's, but had never eaten there. I finally stopped in to check it out for lunch one day after a doctor appointment. I had the Reuben sandwich, potato salad, and a diet soda. The Reuben was excellent, but I was not very impressed with the potato salad or the serving size, especially for the price of the meal almost $12!! That was for one person at lunchtime! I'm not sure I will be back anytime soon.

I went in for lunch with my boyfriend Friday. For lunch which was half sandwich and small soup it was $24. It took 37 minutes for our food to get to the table which is insane as many people have 30min to 1hr lunch breaks. I commented to the girl that brought the food to the table I thought you had forgotten about us, we were waiting so long . She ignored me and just put the food down on the table. No apology! In addition as seen in the photo I don 't know if the plate was dirty or severely stained but either way ....gross! By the time we had gotten the food my soup was cold. Being as it was broccoli cheese soup served cold it was more like eating thick sludge . Our experience was terrible!

McAllister restaurant is different because they don't fry. I recommend the baked potato, it's huge. I like their salads and hot ham sandwich. Service is very good, restaurant and bathroom were clean.

I hate that the prices went up but the food is really good. Love the Black Cherry Iced Tea..the big chocolate Chip Cookies. Savannah chop salad was delish. The service is always good. Nice people work there

I could have put mayonnaise on the bread thicker than the chicken salad. Quality and Service has severely went down on this restaurant. You leave a message for management to call you back, you never hear from them. I would actually give them a negative rating if possible. This rating is after multiple visits lately. All I can say is take your chances and I wish you well.
