By The Sea Resort - King's Point

Regular NL tariff. Well prepared. We ate the Burt's Wharf, who is a bit of everything. I can't say I loved the cable tongues, but felt I had to try it once. A small chewier as a regular cod with a soft center. Salmon was boiled and therefore dry. Fish cakes were delicious like cod. Beautiful bay view. Be ready to wait for food for at least 30 minutes.

This is above all a review of the inn that we stayed for one night. The reception was supervised by the staff of the restaurant who were busy when we arrived, but were still very friendly and took the time to show us in our room and explain things about the inn. We had a large room on the second floor directly on the dock, with a great view of the bay. It had a kitchen and hot tub (we didn't use it. It seemed that all the other rooms were renovated so that we basically had the entire floor (the whole restaurant? for ourselves. Like any other place we stayed in Newfoundland, it was very clean. Very quiet after the restaurant closed down, so sleep was peaceful. Full table service, morning breakfast (which started at 10 a.m. when we stayed with the same friendly service we experienced during check-in. Close to some shops and additional places to eat in King's Point.
