Portovino - Kings Beach

Oh my gosh! Vacationers beware! This place is a total disaster! The veal is a roast that is not only cut incorrectly but also poorly reheated. Even a steak knife would struggle to cut through it! The menu claims they serve pan-fried medallions, but when I asked the cook about it, the response was unhelpful. You feel pressured into paying the bill even if you couldn’t eat your meal! The cook smiles a lot, but that doesn’t make up for the terrible food. It’s another disappointing holiday experience! Please spread the word! It’s no surprise that the waitress looked upset; it’s clearly a tough job! All the good reviews must have been written by themselves. I’m not exaggerating! I paid $32.50 for this, and the topping was straight from a cheap can. Avoid this place!

Urban Vine was a complete disappointment and a waste of time and money. I visited last night and ordered two pizzas and two garlic breads. The receipt indicated that our order would be ready by 7:41 PM, but by 8:25 PM, I still hadn’t received anything. We were seated in the back and had to wait for a staff member to prepare our second garlic bread. Another 15 minutes passed before a young girl finally brought everything out. While it was warm at that point, given the lengthy wait, we accepted it anyway. I was extremely disappointed, especially considering each pizza cost $19, and there were hardly two pieces of diced chicken on the tandoori pizzas. I've also heard that the owner kicked out a group of seven diners who complained about waiting 1.5 hours for their meal. I will never return and would advise others to think twice before going there.

Very disappointing! I dined at Urban Vine (formerly Portovino) tonight and had the worst meal I've experienced. The pasta was tasteless and lukewarm, with a texture that was both mushy and tough, as if it had been reheated all the way from frozen. To top it off, they couldn't serve us drinks because they were out of ice! I won’t be returning.

Portovino (urbanvines) esplanade, kings beach,sland. 26/08/14 went there. weinglasses said portovino, menu said urban vines. with 3 other adults for dinner. they were not allowed to share pizza. I had tortellini bolonaise bland no real taste a dark sauce, appeared from the dose campbell. not to home made restaurant quality. one had garlic pans cold, gland 6 from 7 left on plate. one had fetuccini mushrooms the same sauce as garlic yarns,Bland tasteless both garnel and mushrooms tasteless. had pizza that was not cooked under it. other people in restaurant also not happy. to the happiness we had a good bottle of wine. give him a little

Went to Portovino at Pacific paradise a month ago and the home made lasagne was home made by very bad chef. The other meal was just ok. Went tonight and had the veal and the bolognais. Both inedible. Walked out. Paid the bill. I wis I could post the photos. Veal was the bottom of a boot. With.a huge pile of something on top. How.can an Italian restaurant completely destroy spaghetti bol. Disgraceful. Tummy ache. No wonder. Never go there.
