The Roost Cafe - King

The potential of this situation and the century old house is immense; the place does not live on potential. the backyard is dirty and unloaded. service leaves much to wish. Two coffees ordered. one was given and waited for the second. one for 10 minutes only to say that I had not ordered a second. after another 5 minutes I paid for the second and went. while covid, having a beautiful coffee in a pretty terrace, is a luxury in these days. unfortunately the roost has not delivered. nothing new management, finished decoration and shave / garden maintenance can not repair!

I absolutely LOVE this place. The coffee is amazing, the food is delish and the staff are all super friendly. The ambience is cozy and warm, with an amazing view out the back windows. What more could you ask for?? Highly recommended :

I visit weekly. Although I'm just there for coffee I'm always tempted by all the fresh goodies. From scones to brownies, their all good. When I find myself there for lunch it's the vegetarian sandwich I ask for each and every time. Never disappoints. Friendly...place served up with plenty of smiles. There's an outside area as well to enjoy.

A nice cosy place to have a coffee and a pastry while you take a load off you feet. The outdoor view is pretty nice too

King City has been waiting for a place like this. Had their butter tarts and they were great. The ambiance is inviting. Hopefully they last for a long time. Will go back.
