I believe this was the best pizza I have ever tasted. I chose the gluten-free crust and added plenty of veggies as toppings, and they even offered vegan cheese. It was incredibly delicious and absolutely perfect.
My sisters traveled from Saskatchewan for a short visit. All three of us have Celiac disease, so we did some research on gluten-free options and decided to try Stonefire. We sat on the deck and informed the staff about our dietary needs, emphasizing the importance of preventing cross contamination. Our waiter reassured us that the crust was made from cauliflower and the sauces were safe. He even double-checked the ingredients for the pasta dishes we ordered. We had the Margherita pizza, Grape pizza, and Salmon gluten-free pasta. However, after eating, my sister noticed that the pizzas were not marked as gluten-free on the receipt. When she asked about it, the response was indifferent. Unfortunately, she had a severe reaction before we even made it back to Cranbrook. The second sister had a delayed reaction and spent the night dealing with gluten poisoning. It can take days to recover from exposure, and she missed out on the majority of our two-day trip. I tried contacting the manager to discuss our experience and provide feedback on food safety, but my call was ignored. It's disappointing to see such disregard for customer health and safety at Stonefire. This incident has never happened to my sister, who travels extensively, and serves as a warning to others. I hope this review sheds light on what really happens behind the scenes at this restaurant.
I had the pizza and the crust was fantastic! Although it's not made in-house due to not having a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, it was one of the best pre-packaged crusts I've ever had.
Ordered the pepperoni pizza on gluten free crust. It was good, but the crust was a little dry, but that seems to be a gluten free thing. Would definitely try another topping option next time.
