I brought my family here for lunch. I heard from friends and a past review of this place that they had Uni, but unfortunately I was out of luck. However, this wasn't the end of our bad luck with this place. The one waitress was nice, but our drinks were served in very apparent dirty cups and the tables were still a little dirty. The food fared worse. We ordered the calamari and quickly found out that the tough, rubbery membrane was not stripped from the squid. It was like chewing on a rubber band. The fish mostly had no flavor at all, and the ones that did tasted slightly putrid. The only good dish I had was the Unagi. That tasted excellent. Sadly, that eel was all alone with that level of quality. Weirdly, the entrées came out before the appetizers. I ordered the Pork Katsu dish and I received the chicken katsu pounded flatter than a day old soda and was dry. The rice seemed old. Honestly, the best thing on the plate was the small serving of broccoli. My mother and sister got the Chirashi bowl and was disappointed with the fish having no flavor. The Dragon Roll was also served piled up in a bowl, slathered in an assortment of toppings, instead of being lined up on a plate.Overall, for over $100, my wallet hurts almost as much as my stomach after all that.
Service and hygene were ok. Actual food was bad, trashy, old smelly fish. tasted bad. Old. Either they had old ingredients they had to use or that was left over sushi. I dont usually go out of my way when i encounter bad stuff , but this was worth sharing.
The meals here are not worth the price. I was surprised to see such tiny rolls being sold for $14 each. The meat portions are small and thinly sliced. The raw salmon dish on the right tasted sour, indicating that it was spoiled. Additionally, the rice was undercooked and impossible to eat.
I'm not a sushi guy, but the waitress here made me feel like sushi pro. Answered all my questions and gave me an option to not even try the sushi. I had a big bowl of Ramen that was great.
