Plaza Azteca - KILL DEVIL HILLS

What a great find. A really great Mexican restaurant on the beach. We had great service and the food was really great. No complaints from my pile. We didn't expect. Will definitely eat here again on every trip back to the outer banks. Make sure this is also a place for birthdays. It was the best and loudest way to sing happy birthday I've ever seen.

Excellent food and service. I enjoyed every moment. I definitely recommend this place to try at least one time. They offer complementary chips and salsa that are really yummy. The chicken and shrimp fajitas are so good. Be aware during dinner time since the restaurant is not that big and has a high demand is possible that the restaurant will be at top capacity and have the need to wait for seating. Excellent place with great ambient.

Best vegan food on OBX! When ordering anything plant based around here it's always hit or miss on what you get but this place was a WIN! We literally ate here the entire week (every night for dinner). Thanks Plaza Azteca for offering this! Picture: vegan bowl with extra soymeat

Awesome food and impeccable, polite service. Stopped in twice with my partner while on vacation we knew after the first time we would have to be back before we left the Outer Banks. The second time we visited we requested an outdoor table, and although we were the only ones sitting in that section (it seemed as though it had been closed, chairs stacked on tables, etc. they happily sat us at our requested table and even checked if the music was too loud. Our servers were excellent both times I wish I had gotten their names so I could include them in this review. Excellent cocktails and fresh Margaritas, and I would highly recommend La Granara a pomegranate mojito!

We tried the vegan Fajitas and Tacos. There was a little confusion initially in that the kitchen non-vegan cheese on our beans and rice, but she brought us replacement very quickly. The grilled veggies with the Fajitas were very fresh. The tofu that accompanied the tacos was simple, but the small side of the sauce spiced things up. The staff was very friendly. The outdoor terrace is very dog-friendly; the server gave our pup a bowl of ice water and many pets.
