Rinuccini - Kilkenny

Great restaurant for all occasions: family, romantic, travel. The food is super tasty, the staff is extra friendly, great location in front of the castle and the decoration is super cozy.

We had booked for 8pm but we were late arriving in Kilkenny so wanted to eat earlier if possible and check into our hotel. They were run off their feet but managed to accommodate our request so dined around 7pm. Fair play to the team they where very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The food and wine were exemplary set in a lovely atmosphere. Couldn’t praise Rinuccini enough. Many thanks Neil

This restaurant was a huge disappointment! My husband and I have been to Italy and enjoyed excellent Italian food. This was far from the excellent food we had in Italy. It is a tourist trap! I find it hard to believe it gets such rave reviews. My veal was very tough and bland, a lump of sautéed spinach lacked flavor, and a polenta cake was cold and lacking taste. My husband’s pasta dish was just OK. Overall, we spent far too much for a mediocre meal in Kilkenny. We found an excellent Italian restaurant in Kilkenny the following night, for a quarter of the price we paid here. This restaurant requires 50 to hold a reservation, leading you to believe you are in for a special meal. Don’t waste you time or !! We cannot recommend this restaurant!

Magnificent authentic Italian Restaurant. Amazing food, excellent attentive service in a wonderful atmosphere. The menu offers superb choices clearly only the best produce is used. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely dinner from appetizers to dessert including wine from a great list. We accidentally booked the wrong night but were able to be seated anyway. The service was great, the ambiance was elegant and the food was delicious. Enjoy a fine evening here. The owner, Riccardo, was especially helpful and obviously cares about his customers. thank you again, Riccardo!
