Home cooked food in a historical setting. The quality of the food is excellent. Friendly and welcoming staff. A busy environment and well maintained. Excellent shopping in the store below.

We have been traveling in Ireland for 10 days and 2 of the days were spent in Kilkenny. After viewing the castle we had decided to have lunch and tried it's neighbour, the Kilkenny Design Centre. On arrival we were greeted by the manager (I presume as he was in a suit) in a very friendly manner and directed us to the service counter where he explained how it all works. The food was super yummy and the cakes were out of this world. All the staff were so friendly and smiling. 10/10

A short city break to Kilkenny. It was our first time to the Kilkenny Design Centre. A beautiful building and across from Kilkenny Castle (worth the view) . Hot and tasty food. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Great to see the café move back upstairs in the Design Centre. The menu offers lots of choice. Had a lovely lunch with pals here last week. A huge bowl of delicious soup with fresh soda bread was wholesome. Followed with a mug of excellent coffee, and we shared a huge slice of cake between three of us (the slices are rather generous). We’ll definitely be back!

Buffet style lineup and everything from quiche, scones and coffee were all yummy nice little spot to get out of the rain and enjoy some good food.
