Moondog Cafe - Key West

This place was great! We wanted to find the perfect place with breakfast options all day. This place has the best croissant egg sandwich, breakfast Burrito and omelets! You have Crazy Cuban Queen coffee and fresh bakery. Pedro was amazing and we appreciate his service and his attention to detail. He made our lunch even better!! We highly recommend and the lunches also looked amazing. We will definitely come back!

Wonderful small café next to the Hemingway House! My daughter and I ate here two days in a row after I toured the house and were both great. Really neat atmosphere with colorful murals from local attractions. Our first visit was the best because we have the cozy little corner window seat. We had the grill chicken pizza and it was delicious and great service by the waiting staff both days. Very recommended for a great place for lunch!

When we entered the front door, my eye immediately went to a glass display case filled with colorful and unique desserts; the choice of dessert to a hard one. After I was in another place who claimed to have the best in Key West, I had a disc to compare and not disappointed. I knew at the first bite that this was the best key cake I ever had in my life. Service and ambience were a five stars with creativity and color throughout the entire facility. As an artist, this is all I appreciate. My friend ordered the raspberry cheesecake and was also in love with the presentation and enjoyed every bit. This is a hidden gem and I would highly recommend Moondog Cafe for anyone looking for a quality food experience. You're welcome!

A hidden gem in Key West. If you are looking for a eclectic, modern restaurant with traditional food feels, very over to Moondog. Drift away from Duval and get into the depths of Key West's neighborhoods. Service is fantastic, dining area is spacious with an outdoor patio seating area to accentuate that island feel. Food is impeccable. This visit we had breakfast. I had the Shrimp Benedict gluten free option with a polenta cake and I was tempted to lick my plate clean, while washing it down with a watermelon mimosa (one of many flavors to choose from). My husband had the ham cheese omelet with one of their homemade croissants. Meals were prepared well, seasoned to perfection, and delivered on expectations. If your day is full, grab a pastry and a coffee from the front counter and head out on your excursions. Not my first trip to Moondog and return trips are inevitable. When your finished you can step out and have a quick visit to either the Key West Lighthouse, or the Hemingway House. If you are looking for that hot spot off the busy, beaten path... go into Moondog and lose yourself in great atmosphere, and a great meal.

One of the best yet! Actually happy we waited for the last day to eat here, or else we would not have ventured anywhere else. Great vegan offerings and so vegan friendly. Desserts were amazing. Easy to get a breakfast/brunch at 2p. My BLAT with green Goddess dresssing was AMAZING. It's a win all the way around. And kinda nice that it was a street off Duval... Not loud and smelly and all that. Clean, great service, and you must leave room for the pastry and desserts.
