We had our first lunch, a wonderful lobster roll at DJs Clam Shack, and about two hours later we arrived at the second lunch. Garbo’s Grill is another diner, drive-ins and dives located in a food truck behind a bar.
The food was tasteful and freshly prepared. Service was quick and helpful. Don't let Lando intimidate you. The Korean BBQ was amazing.
The bulgolgi tacos alone are worth the trip, easy the best meal I found after 2 months of life in the key west. The fish tacos were not worth it, not a real taste for them. Hamburgers were a bit dry, but good. Small expensive and I would have to try more, but this place could easily be a 4.5 with a few more dishes on the bulgolgi taco level. I also loved the real Cane Sodas. Black cherry and rootberry.
Gorgeous (2) korean tacos for under $11 in a food cart with shaded outdoor seats. It sits behind a bar/restaurant called Grunts and is barely visible from the street. You give you a pager to let you know when your food is ready. I guess you can get an adult drink from Grunts (although we didn't do it), which seems to share the beautiful outdoor courtyard. Hand Sanitizer sits on the table as a beautiful convenience. We enjoyed it.
Please try the Korean taco… You will wet your pants it is so so good! Simple elegant just really really good can't say enough about it. Take the food and even the bar excellent!
