Flying Fish - Kettering

Having been a customer for some time now, usually have this as a treat for my Son on access visits) we have noted a slow but sure deterioration in the enjoyment of the food and now the awful way in which it is run by new owners. I am not suprised at this as Burton Latimer has really poor attitude towards customers and public alike in general. Tonight we asked for the usual food among a crowd who had already ordered everything that was not cooked Typical locals) So having ordered and paid, we thought it simple that we got our food and could go No ! We waited and waited as more and more orders were expidited from the huge list they had taken ahead of our arrival. Our food was there staring at us but wait and wait we had to. The staff seemed very disinterested and manifested itself in all areas of the machine they were destroying a once great place. This was the very last visit here for us and we seek alternatives for future takeaways. Also way too busy to even apologise for such a wait for the food we could see in the hot area that we had paid for SHAMEFUL PEOPLE !

Cod in batter was awful! The batter was that thick it was inedible and the fish crumbled as you put a fork into it. Suspect it was not fresh and was frozen fish.

Fast, Amazing Staff Food, Never had a problem here! Definitely Recommend

Sorry been going to this fish shop for many years and I must say tonight 19th Dec 2023 was the worst fish and chips I have had its a shame but will be looking else where

Katsu curry box, was delicious. Takes a bit longer, but worth the wait.
